Case Study #1
Tier II Automotive Supplier:
SVRC Industries, Inc. was contacted by a Tier II automotive supplier to assist with the light precision assembly of anti-lock braking parts. In addition, the Tier II supplier was looking to improve their just in time delivery system and other supply chain management activities. Working with dedicated suppliers from the Tier II supplier, SVRC Industries, Inc. was able to help control JIT deliveries, assess the quality of incoming parts and reduce the material management activities for the Tier II supplier. SVRC Industries, Inc. was awarded this job based on our quality reputation, communication, and responsiveness.

SVRC has saved our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past 20 years by:

  • Reducing the customer’s on hand inventory by tens of thousands of dollars.

  • Assessing the quality of incoming parts before the shipment is released to the customer.
  • Reducing the material control staff by at least 1 FTE at the customer site.

Case Study #2
Tier II Automotive Supplier:
SVRC Industries, Inc. was contacted by a Tier II automotive supplier in 2006 to assist with the light precision assembly of fuel line connectors. This Tier II supplier was looking for a company that was able to produce high volumes of parts with a very quick turn around time to keep their assembly process running smoothly. Before SVRC began working with this Tier II supplier, the supplier was paying operators to place seals on fuel line connectors. This process was inefficient and not very cost effective for the supplier. SVRC took over the process of placing seals on these parts, which allowed the company to use their operators in other areas that were more cost effective. In addition, SVRC has consigned inventory on hand in our plant to assist in JIT delivery to the customer and has also allowed the customer to free up some much needed floor space at their facilities. SVRC Industries, Inc. was awarded this job based on our quality reputation, commitment, and communication.

SVRC has saved the customer tens of thousands of dollars by:

  • Reducing inventory levels at the customer’s facility.
  • Performing tasks that were previously not cost effective for the supplier to perform.
  • Assessing the quality of incoming parts before they reached the customer.
  • Managing the inventory levels at SVRC to assist the supplier with their material control process.

Case Study #3
Tier II Automotive Supplier:
SVRC Industries, Inc. was contacted by this Tier II supplier to assist in a recycling program for steel ball bearings. The customer had lots of scrap ball bearings that were falling onto the production floor and were too dirty to be used. SVRC developed a washer process to wash the steel ball bearings and then created a grading machine with two rollers that sorts the steel balls by size. SVRC Industries, Inc. was awarded this job based on our quality reputation, creativeness and ability to design tooling as needed.

SVRC has saved our customers money over the past 15 years by:

  • Reducing nearly 100% of the scrapped steel balls at our customer’s plant.
  • Reducing the amount of virgin material that the plant was ordering by thousands of dollars per month.

SVRC continues to save our customer thousands of dollars per year by:

  • Reducing inventory levels at the customer’s facility.
  • Performing tasks that were previously not cost effective for their operators to perform.

Case Study #5
Fastener Wholesale Company:
SVRC Industries, Inc. was contacted by this manufacturer to assist them with their operations. They were using operations that were not cost effective for their employees to perform. They also had operations that their employees didn’t have time to complete. This customer needed a resource with lots of labor available to package lots of small parts quickly for their end customer. SVRC took on this customer’s packaging operations and simple assembly work, thereby freeing up their time and facility, so they could continue with their wholesale operations.

SVRC continues to save our customer money each year by:

  • Performing work that the customer was unable to perform due to labor shortages.
