Meet The Team
Dean K. Emerson is currently the CEO of SVRC Industries, Inc., Westlund Guidance Clinic, SVRC Foundation and the SVRC Marketplace, LLC. Dean has worked at SVRC for the last 18 years and has held a variety of positions, Director of Rehabilitation Service, Vice President of Operations, and President. Dean’s current role at SVRC has him involved in Board Activities, Internal Administration, Program Development, Quality Management (Accreditation) and Community Relations.
Dean has a Master’s of Science in Administration from CMU with a concentration in Health Services and his undergraduate degree is from SVSU in Psychology.
President & COO
Debra has been employed with SVRC for more than 30 years and has experience in vocational rehabilitation, behavioral health services and advocacy. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University and her Master of Science degree in Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University.
Debra is passionate about ensuring that people who receive services through SVRC Industries are treated with dignity and respect, are fully included in their community and are able to live full and meaningful lives.
Donna joined the SVRC leadership team in July of 2019, with a previous background in healthcare accounting and operational analytics. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business communications, and her Master of Business Administration from Northwood University in 2012.
Donna provides oversight of financial activities, budgets, funding allocations, and is the lead for annual financial and fiduciary compliance audits. She is looking forward to helping SVRC grow both financially and through community inclusion.
V.P. Community Services and Talent Development
Rose earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in 1987. She joined SVRC as a part time advocate in 2003. Rose provides oversight and administration for programming, industrial operations, and community services. Rose led the transformation of services from facility based to complete inclusion in the community for the MY Voice My Choice Program (community mental health program).
Her passion continues with ensuring the services provided meet the needs and interests of the person served.
Brian Taylor is the Vice President of Operations for SVRC Industries, INC. He is also the company’s Safety Chairperson. He has an undergraduate degree in Humanities from New England College and a Master’s degree in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University.
Brian is a Veteran of the United States Army as he was previously an Infantry Team Leader in the 25th Infantry Division. Brian enjoys helping people achieve their goals. Leadership is Brian’s passion and he likes to be thought of as firm but fair. Brian looks forward to the future of SVRC Industries and is fortunate to be part of it.
Director, Westlund Guidance Clinic
Yolanda is the Director of Behavioral Health Services at Westlund Guidance Clinic. She earned her Bachelors of Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and her Master of Social Work Degree from Michigan State University.
Yolanda has experience in the treatment of numerous mental health diagnoses and treatment such as individual sex offender treatment, marriage counseling, individual therapy with children and adults with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
Yolanda is state certified in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
