Invitation to Businesses and Nonprofits:

Foster Belonging and Connection with Empowered Voices

At SVRC Industries, we believe in the power of community and shared experiences. That's why we're reaching out to local businesses and nonprofits to request invitations to partner with you in our Community Living Support and Volunteer program and help us nurture belonging and connection.

Our Empowered Voices participants are eager to explore new environments, learn about different industries, and connect with members of the community. By opening your doors to Empowered Voices, you can play a vital role in fostering a sense of belonging and connection for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Imagine the joy and excitement on their faces as they visit your establishment — a movie theater, a petting zoo, a skate park, or any other venue that offers unique experiences. Through these shared adventures, Empowered Voices participants not only enjoy memorable moments but also cultivate a deep sense of camaraderie within the SVRC community.

Why Partner with Empowered Voices:

  • Meaningful Engagement: By welcoming Empowered Voices into your business, you're providing an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to engage with the broader community in a meaningful way.

  • Inclusivity and Diversity: Demonstrating your commitment to inclusivity and diversity, you'll help create a more inclusive society where everyone feels valued and accepted.

  • Positive Impact: Your partnership with Empowered Voices will have a positive impact not only on the participants but also on your staff and customers, fostering empathy, understanding, and a sense of unity.

How You Can Get Involved:

  • Host a Visit: Invite Empowered Voices participants to visit your business and experience what you have to offer. Whether it's a guided tour, a hands-on activity, or simply spending time in your establishment, your hospitality will be greatly appreciated.

  • Organize a Volunteer Opportunity: Invite Empowered Voices to volunteer at your organization. Whether it's helping out at a community cleanup, assisting with a program like Underground Railroad's thrift store, or participating in a special project like the garden we maintain at the Saginaw Children's zoo, their enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference.
